Pet Passports

Make your pet holiday-ready; leave the paperwork to us at Monument Vets.

Pets infiltrate all elements of our lives; our hearts, our homes and now even our holidays!  With these wonderful adventures comes the need for a bit of planning.  We can help you ensure you have your pet’s health considerations as well as their documentation all sewn up for safe and easy passage.

In order to fulfil the requirements of the UK Pet Travel Scheme, cats, dogs and ferrets must be microchipped and vaccinated against rabies at least 21 days prior to leaving the UK.  Travelling to EU countries requires a pet passport, the preparation of which we are proficient in.  Fulfilling these requirements also means that your pet will not have to spend time in quarantine upon your return to the UK.

Pets travelling outside of the EU require a third country certificate to reassure the authorities that they are fit and suitably protected to do so.  Again, we can help you get all the necessaries in order for these trips too.

For more information about travel requirements for your pet, please visit the official DEFRA website here or call and speak to a member of our team. You can reach us at our Redruth surgery on 01209 214737 or Camborne on 01209 718281.
