Updates from Monument!
Happy Birthday Cardrew!
We can’t believe it has already been two years since we relocated to our brand new building and started treating the area’s wonderful pets in a better environment. We have seen a great deal of changes in that time (sadly most of them in the last five months!)
What are we doing?
We are continuing to take a phased approach to the Covid-19 challenge following guidelines set by The British Veterinary Association. Our main focus is to maintain our high standard of care to you and your pets whilst trying to keep our team and yourselves safe. Behind the scenes we are trying to find solutions which would enable you to come back into the building for consultations. Our priority is to avoid any practice closure due to the track and trace scheme. Ultimately if we were to be affected by this, it would mean having to withdraw all our services (including emergency care) for at least two weeks. Until we have a safe solution for coming into the building unfortunately we ask that you all remain outside whilst your pet attends their appointment.
We appreciate your patience at this time and hope to be able to see you face to face as soon as possible.
We are excited to announce that we have two new veterinary surgeons joining our team.
Our first new vet , Josie, has been working with us for the past month as a locum so you may already have met her. Josie instantly fitted in well and we had such great feedback from both clients and the team that she is now staying with us permanently.
Most of you know our vet Eleanor and we are excited to announce that Eleanor is expecting a baby in early November. So our second new vet Owen Rees will be joining us in October as Eleanor starts her maternity leave. Since qualifying Owen has been working in Callington but the lure of the waves have drawn him further west.
Are you worried about your pet’s vaccinations and health checks?
We are running more special vaccination clinics during August to catch up with the vaccinations that have been postponed over the past few months. Please email us with your pets name and details and we will schedule an appointment. email@example.com
For those pets who need to restart their vaccinations (as it’s been more than 15 months since their last booster) we are now able to offer increased reassurance.
We are very pleased to announce that with the vaccination company’s financial support between the 17th August – 14th of November we will be able to re-start vaccination courses for dogs and cats for the same price as an annual booster. Remember that during this appointment your pet will also receive their ‘head to tail’ health check with one of our vets which is vital for their well being.
Are you looking for a great way to keep your pets happy and healthy?
During these unsettled times we have seen a lot of people turning to our Pet Health Plan as they get access to the best preventative health care at a reduced cost – saving themselves approximately 20%.
We keep on improving our scheme and it now includes:
- two different parasite treatment options for dogs and cats
- contagious cough (previously called kennel cough) for dogs
- leukaemia for cats
